  We invite you to join in honoring and celebrating the life of Don Sherry, a proud Korean War Veteran and Veteran proponent, on Saturday, August 23rd at 5:00pm 

  Location: American Legion Post 16 in Gainesville, Florida 

   4701 NW 6th Street, Gainesville Fl 

  We will gather tp share memories, stories, and fellowship in tribute to Don's life and service. Finger foods and light refreshment will be provided. 

  Your presence will mean a great deal to the family as we remember and celebrate a life well-lived.

  Welcome to the Gator Detachment's 2025 Marine Corps Birthday Ball, celebrating 250 years of the United States Marine Corps.

  Join us on Saturday, November 8th at the Best Western Gateway Grand as we take to the ballroom in this festive event where Marines and friends of the Marine Corps gather to celebrate.  The price is $55 per person and each attendee will receive a unique challenge coin commissioned by the detachment for the 250th Birthday.

   The social gathering begins at 5:00pm outside the ballroom.  The ballroom will open at 6:00 for seating and the ceremony.  There will be appetizers, raffles, a photographer, a traditional ceremony, a plated dinner with desserts, cash bars, and music provided by local DJ Rockin' Robin.
