Welcome to the Gator Detachment's 2025 Marine Corps Birthday Ball, celebrating 250 years of the United States Marine Corps.
Join us on Saturday, November 8th at the Best Western Gateway Grand as we take to the ballroom in this festive event where Marines and friends of the Marine Corps gather to celebrate. The price is $55 per person and each attendee will receive a unique challenge coin commissioned by the detachment for the 250th Birthday.
The social gathering begins at 5:00pm outside the ballroom. The ballroom will open at 6:00 for seating and the ceremony. There will be appetizers, raffles, a photographer, a traditional ceremony, a plated dinner with desserts, cash bars, and music provided by local DJ Rockin' Robin.
This is not the official Birthday Ball. That is held on November 8th. But Marines, members and guests are welcomed to show up at the High Springs Brewery at 6:00pm on Monday, November 10th, as we recognize the 250th year Marine Corps Birthday.
There will be a cake cutting and there will not be an admission fee.
Attire will be casual.
The Board of Trustees and the Detachment Staff meet to receive reports, get updates on projects and set the agenda for the upcoming general meeting. The meeting is open to all members.
While this meeting is primarily for the Board and staff, all members are welcomed.
The Gator Detachment recognizes that with the approach of Thanksgiving and the holiday season, it is time to let our officers and members take a break from the business of the detachment and spend this time with family.
We will resume our business meetings on the fourth Tuesday of January 2026.
